The Welsh Dragon journal is one of our most popular tooled journals.  This dragon is from the flag of Wales and is a national symbol of the Welsh people.  The dragon was introduced to the British Isles by the Romans.  When the Roman Empire collapsed, the Welsh decided to keep using the dragon as their standard, to emphasize their different-ness from the barbarians attacking them, and Rome.  In addition, ancient Welsh poets used the Welsh word for dragon as their term for warrior, or leader.  Plus, it looks pretty good even if you are not Welsh!
